Throwing down the Gauntlet (or the plank)
I'm looking forward to the next game night on June 7th. I want to play Pirates, and I have a Spanish fleet that will wreak havoc upon the shipping lanes of the world (There will be no replay of the Spanish Armada). So, if you'd like to step up and get slapped down by the greatest flotilla known to mankind, then be at 318 Nichols Court on June 7.

I'll stand up and destroy you ! I have a bombardier;
a ship with a super-powered canon that can use flame
or be a regular canon. I haven't used it but I'm looking forward to.
Hmmm. A bombardier, eh? Well, that might work against ships that you can get close to. My Spanish fleet is very fast because of my helmsmen, and I've got Captains too.
Just curious, Dustin... are you playing the "Complete Game"? Grant's been reading all the rules, but I'm not sure they've actually played it yet.
Yes, I'm playing the complete game with my students at school. It's very common for kids to learn a simplified version of the game first. I compiled a compendium of the rules, since the game manufacturer doesn't produce a complete version of the rules (they have separate subsets of the rules that ship with each expansion).
